Feb. 2011

Feb. 24-March 17,     Mt. View College, Intermediate Acupressure.  This is a continuation of the first class.  In addition, we will be covering the Six Conditions of Good Health, Yoga Stretches, 8 Tuina Hand Positions, Full Body Tuina, and several Orthopedic and Joint Stretching techniques.

Lecture - Acupressure and Traditional Chinese Medicine

March 3,      Mt. View College, from 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm;  Student Center.  Open to anyone who is interested in knowing more about Acupressure, how it can help in dealing with everyday disorders and to improve over-all wellness.  I will also talk about up and coming classes being offered at Mt. View College.  Come and enjoy an hour of interesting  and informative information.

March 25-27,        Mt. View College
Sports Tuina.   This class will cover a special from of Chinese sports medical massage that deals with orthopedic, neurologic, neuromuscular, and soft tissue injuries sustained by world class and Olympic level athletes.  Techniques and procedures learned in this workshop will take the therapist to a level of expertise higher than they thought possible. 

Those attending will learn 12 Tuina Hand Techniques along with 5 procedures for treating the following injury areas:  ankle, knee, lumbar, neck, and shoulder.  Tuina is a medically specific massage procedure designed to heal damaged tissues at a rate faster than is taught in western sports rehab modalities.  

So, whether you plan to work on athletes or not, you’ll be able to effectively treat trauma to any of the above mentioned areas faster than you have done in the past, in a shorter amount of time.  Your clients will love you.

Who should attend this workshop:  Sports Massage Therapist, Massage Therapist, Athlete Trainers, Chiropractors, Physical Therapist, Sports Physical Therapist, Physical Therapy Asst., Osteopathic Doctors, Medical Doctors, Orthopedic Doctors, and Occupational Therapist.
